WHO IS THE NCAW?

This is an organization currently consisting of African and African-American ladies. These ladies belong to this charitable body that has as its interest helping the needy, in all aspects.

From its inception the NCAW has been working and caring for the communities around them.

The aim of NCAW is service to humanity. It is for this reason that it adopted from the International Council of Women the motto: “DO UNTO OTHERS AS YE WOULD THAT THEY DO UNTO YOU.”

The Council consists of several branches which in turn form a region. All regions are ultimately responsible to the Parent Body which holds supreme and final authority in all matters of policy.

The annual Conference for entire Council is held once a year. Each region takes a turn in hosting conferences. This system of rotating has been in effect since 1966.
The administration of this Council is such that every branch falls directly under the supervision of the Regional Board which in turn derives its authority from the National Executive Committee.
The National Body and the respective regions, because of their pride of belonging to this Honorable Organization has acquired NCAW flags which are used during their annual conferences. Branches also have their respective flags which they use when organizing fund-raising projects and commemoration services of special events of the organization.
